Around the Table at Emporium Kitchen & Wine Market

There is a particular pleasure in discovering somewhere new through food.

A flavor you have never encountered. A bottle poured from a vineyard you may never have visited. A familiar ingredient prepared in a way that makes you reconsider it entirely. Sometimes a table can take you surprisingly far without asking you to leave your seat.

That sense of discovery is at the heart of Emporium Kitchen & Wine Market.

Rooted in the flavors and hospitality of the South and shaped by influences from around the world, Emporium reflects the same curiosity that runs throughout Perry Lane. Our muse, Adelaide Harcourt, left Savannah to experience the world and returned home with stories, objects and ideas gathered along the way. At Emporium, that spirit finds its way to the table.

And while our curiosity may take us around the world, it always begins close to home

Close to Home

For us, local is about more than putting a place name on a menu. It is about relationships with the people who grow, harvest and create here, and taking the time to understand what they do.

Our relationship with Tybee Oyster Company has taken our team out onto the water to see firsthand how their oysters are farmed and learn more about the work behind what eventually arrives at the table.

Back at Emporium, that relationship inspired another local connection. We created a mignonette using Savannah Bee Company honey to accompany Tybee oysters, bringing together two Savannah area partners in a single bite.

It is a small expression of something much larger: the closer we are to where our food comes from, the more thoughtfully we can share it.

Southern Roots, Global Branches

From those roots, we allow the menu to travel.

Under the direction of Executive Chef Miguel Bautista, Southern ingredients and traditions meet techniques and influences from farther afield. Local redfish is paired with corn purée and French technique. Georgia peaches find their way onto challah French toast. Shrimp and grits arrive with andouille and chow chow.

The intention is not to leave Southern cooking behind. It is to see where curiosity can take it.

That philosophy is inherently Perry Lane. Adelaide's travels did not diminish her connection to Savannah. They gave her new ways of seeing, gathering and sharing when she returned home.

Emporium carries that same idea forward. Know where you come from. Stay curious about what lies beyond it. Bring something interesting back to the table.

On the Third Thursday, the Table Travels

Once a month, we take that curiosity even farther.

Emporium Global Table is an intimate multi course dining experience held on the third Thursday of each month, with each dinner inspired by a different destination.

The menu, wines and conversation become a way of exploring that place together. One month might follow the Douro through Portugal. Another might take its cue from Argentina and the foothills of the Andes. Each course offers a different perspective, with wines selected to complement the food and add another layer to the story.

You may arrive knowing the destination. The pleasure is discovering how it tastes.

More Ways Around the Table

The experience at Emporium does not begin and end with a reservation.

Every Sunday from 3 to 4 p.m., guests are invited to join us for a complimentary wine tasting, an easy afternoon ritual built around discovering something new by the glass.

On Saturdays, Market to Table brings guests even closer to the ingredients and people behind a meal. The experience begins at the farmers market alongside Executive Chef Miguel Bautista, where guests explore what is in season and select ingredients together. Later that evening, they return to Emporium and meet Chef Miguel again, this time at the table.

What was discovered at the market becomes dinner as Chef Miguel creates a multi course meal around the ingredients selected that morning, complemented by wine throughout the experience.

There is something special about seeing an ingredient in the morning, choosing it yourself, and then returning hours later to discover what a chef imagined it could become. It turns dinner into more than the final plate. You become part of the story of how it got there.

Come to the Table

Whether it is an oyster harvested close to home, a bottle discovered during a Sunday tasting, ingredients chosen alongside our chef at the farmers market or a Global Table inspired by somewhere across the world, everything at Emporium comes back to curiosity, connection and the pleasure of sharing something around the table.

For Adelaide, seeing the world gave her more to bring home to Savannah. We like to think Emporium does much the same.

We begin with the flavors and hospitality of the South. We stay close to the farmers, makers and purveyors around us. We follow our curiosity around the world. And then we bring it all back to the table to share.

For travelers who choose their next destination as much for what they will eat as what they will see, consider this your invitation to Savannah. Make Perry Lane your home while you explore the city, then come back to a table where there is always something else to discover.

Southern roots. Global branches. A culinary destination worth traveling for, right here in Savannah.
